Friday Night Blights: AZ edition
Well, it seems we gloated too soon. That's because the cruel and mean-spirited anti-gay constitutional ban that the Arizona Senate turned away on Wednesday? The one whose failure we oh-so-happily celebrated? Yea, well, that same bunch of legislators reconsidered and decided to pass the measure on Friday evening:

So that's it's -- the bill has already passed the House, so it now looks like Grand Canyon State voters will be given another chance (a previous attempt failed in '06) to let the tyranny of a majority vote write blatant discrimination into their state's most precious governing document.
::sigh:: We promise to never again count our cacti before they've bloomed!

Don't you mean the ARIZONA Senate...not the California one ;) ROLF....

Oddly enough, the last name of one of the people pushing for this amendment to pass is Herrod.
