Note to all readers:

by Jeremy Hooper

If you want to come on this site and defend your bias in the comments section, at least have the spine to admit who you are. Creating a fake name and acting like you are a non-involved participant in the discussion only muddies the discourse for us all. Plus, IP information being what it is, the chances that you might get caught and end up with egg on your face is great.

Your thoughts

What in the hell did I miss??? LOL

Posted by: Scott | Jul 28, 2008 3:03:50 PM

Scott: With about a 90% degree of certainty, I have pinpointed that either a person who I wrote about or one of their very close defenders (living in the same or nearby household) has gone into the comments section of one of our old posts and posted defenses in a fake name. And worse yet, those comments are from the viewpoint of a supposedly pro-gay person who has chosen to scold those other pro-gay voices for their supposed "bashing."

Just letting it all develop before proceeding. I'm not going to go any further until I find that one definitive connection.

Can I still post as anon?

I love it when you catch them rend-handed. It's fun!

Posted by: ted | Jul 28, 2008 3:24:40 PM

Oh ok, gotcha!

Let the investigation resume - I'm sure it'll be an interesting future post!

Posted by: Scott | Jul 28, 2008 3:30:15 PM

Anon: Why of course you can! This is not about a desire for anonymity on the Internet. Such is understandable and respected.

If I'm right, then what this is about is trying to alter the course of a debate by misrepresenting yourself.

Yep... we're all 'ears' waiting... well eyes.. but pre literacy 'reports' were verbal.

I thought there was a weird line of self hate in one of those comment strings, so much so that I was about to send a private email to them with some counseling service numbers that have been helpful to me in the past, then it clicked when I read this post…

I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam...

Yay! I think I figured it out! oh my, this will be a good one when it's confirmed!

Posted by: keltic | Jul 28, 2008 5:05:17 PM

I think I know which one it is too! And, JH, you should be kinder to the mentally-impaired (mentally-deficient?? barely literate??). ;)

At least that was my impression when I read his posts.

Quite frankly, anyone who hides their identity while making nasty comments about another person or group of people is a cowardly individual without testicles (or breasts). I say this because one of my biggest pet peeves is a conservative bully who likes to verbally bash gays and maintains a screen name of 'conservatron1988' or some other nutless nonsense. (ahem) There, I'm finished.

Oh, I feel so in the dark...

Maybe my circuits are just moving slowly today.

Posted by: Evan | Jul 28, 2008 9:19:38 PM

Evan: No, you're not doing anything wrong. I'm intentionally being coy because I simply can't move forward. I was just SO annoyed when I found what I found that I needed some sort of catharsis. This short post was it.

Posted by: G-A-Y | Jul 28, 2008 9:33:23 PM

oh Evan,

I wouldn't want to "CAST" any stones at actors who work in the musical theater, I might hit a GAY man. That's just my "STANCE" on TODDay's comments.....

Posted by: keltic | Jul 28, 2008 9:40:22 PM

Oh good lawd, here we go again. . .I'm pretty sure where this is going.

Posted by: gary | Jul 28, 2008 10:00:28 PM

Hint, hint.

Posted by: Baldran | Jul 28, 2008 10:02:00 PM

I'm there.

(Circuits still moving slowly...such a Monday.)

I think Jeremy is talking about Justin Castor.

I was another site where someone, posting as "anonymous", was defending Castor right and left. I noticed that they were using the EXACT same language, style and terminology that was used in the email that Jeremy posted here.

I alerted the site moderator that I suspected that Castor was posting anonymously so that he could defend himself in a way that made it look as if others were defending him. I told him to check out G-A-Y and cross reference IP's with Jeremy.

I hope I was right and was able to help expose this jerk.

It would be an awfully big coincidence if it wasn't Justin Castor.
