PG&E: Pro-Gay & Equal

by Jeremy Hooper

200807291311Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the utility company that powers most of Northern California, has donated $250,000 to the fight against Prop. 8, the proposed amendment that would exclude same-sex couples from marriage equality:

So the company that routinely takes folks out of dark ages is helping to lead folks away from The Dark Ages? Fitting.

It's unclear if the local "pro-family" communities will retaliate against PG&E. Our suggestion for how they can stick it to the electric company: They can unplug their alarm clocks on November 4, 2008.

Your thoughts

That's the second LOL out of me today, JH! :) Good ol' PG&E. They made me put down a deposit as a new customer back in '96. I can now forgive them.

They'll be making up for Erin Brockovich for a looooooong time.

Do I smell a BOYCOTT a'brewin'?!?! Come on AFA, this is your time to shine!

OK, we just had a 5.8 earthquake here in SoCal. I wonder how long until we here about it being the fault of allowing gays to marry

Posted by: Todd | Jul 29, 2008 3:10:08 PM

Todd, I think that we should start a betting pool. Who will be the first to link gay marriage to god's wrathful earthquake today? When will they send out the communique that they are merely relaying from god himself (or herself)?

What excuse will they offer as to why god was pissed off at Massachusetts and struck out at California?

I guess if they choose to protest and boycott PG&E they wont be experiencing anything that new, they seem to be use to being in the dark.

I am so glad to hear this. I'd love to see how the AFA savages are going to boycott PG&E.

Billy: Astute comments, both.

But I'm confused about something. When you said "cock" in the fourth line, about seventh word in -- what did you mean, exactly? Did you choose that word in order to make some sort of post-modern statement on capitalistic greed and its effects on the middle class American family? Or was it something deeper than that?

Clearly there is some astute wisdom that is being lost on me. So please, by all means -- school me.

**UPDATE: Oh, now I see what you were referring to. You were talking about the one comment in G-A-Y history that we did not approve, and you were testing the system. Got it.

heres some bible ammo for the gay community. if, being gay is a sin and no sin is greater than a sin and jesus died for all our sins (i am a independent christian ) than everybody goes to heaven so says the bible , nag hammadi , and d.s. scrolls. life is sin, not love. remember when jesus said he who is without sin cast the first stone. did he pick up a rock? i am not gay i am fucked up.
