Rep and wannabe Rep wish to protect Florida's rep
At a Sunday meeting of the Miami Log Cabin Republicans, both current U.S Rep Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Miami) and her Democratic challenger, Annette Taddeo, vowed to fight the state's proposed marriage ban:

For the reasons behind their opposition, both cite fairness, equality, and a non-desire to have their mid-21st century soap opera viewing interrupted by their great grandkids' nagging cries of, "Nanny, can you tell me again why you supported one of the cruelest, most discriminatory campaigns in the state's modern history?"
