Wayne to radio types: A James-free Hall is a Shame-free Hall

by Jeremy Hooper

200807091400As you might have heard, the Museum of Broadcast Communications recently announced Focus on the Family's James Dobson as a nominee for induction into the Radio Hall of Hame. And while many of us who've covered Dobson's parade of deception against LGBT people were taken aback when we heard that Jimmy D was even being considered for the honor, there's only one group that's launched an organized attempt to stop it: Wayne Besen's Truth Wins Out organization. See the link for what Wayne suggests interested parties do to keep this uber-staunch gay rights foe from being honored for his work:

STOP The Radio Hall of Fame from Honoring Anti-Gay Bigot JAMES DOBSON [TWO]

Though in a way, we must admit we kind of find it fitting that Dobson would be up for this honor. After all, nobody's tried to keep society from progressing past the point when radio was the home's primary form of entertainment more than the Dobsonites!

**If you'd like to weigh in on who you think should make the cut, you can register to vote here. In the most hysterical of pairings, Dobson is actually up against Howard Stern ::Baba booey, Baba booey::
