A Milk event even vegans can get behind

Picture 2-170Joining their friends in the Assembly, the California Senate yesterday approved the measure that would designate May 22 as "Harvey Milk Day":

In a funny-yet-sad development, the vote was 100% along party lines, with not one Republican voting for it. Giving both political analysts and zoologists alike the most definitive proof that elephants are Harvey Lactose intolerant.

Get it? Milk. Lactose. Republican symbol = elephant. Oh, whatever.

The bill now return to the Assembly due to some minor amendments that need concurrence, after which it'll go to Gov. Schwarzenegger for signature. Hopefully Arnold will break from his fellow party members and swallow this Milk whole.
