Video: Wow, he makes us sound so scary

by Jeremy Hooper

For those who like their anti-gayness served up extra nutty:

Our favorite part?  That this guy includes our entrance into the entertainment industry as a link on our chain from "good and moral" public ridicule to "bad and unGodly" public acceptance.  What, does he think in addition to "choosing" homosexuality, we also chose for our community to be blessed with the sort of wit, flair, and talent needed for artistic success?  And if so, we'd really like to know at what point, exactly, we made the group decision to love both same-sex intercourse and auditions!!

But whatever.  We're talking about a guy who is using SB 200, a measure that only enhances non-discrimination protections, as fuel to suggest that we gays are hellbent on the world's destruction.  The absurdity of it all trumps any possible offense.

Your thoughts

Crazy pseudo-religious nutjob.

Almost seems to be a spoof?

Posted by: TikiHead | Aug 26, 2008 4:30:38 PM

Why did the order of the chain go:

"They demanded SPECIAL RIGHTS"
then
"They demanded EQUAL RIGHTS"

Wouldn't it make more sense the other way around. It's sounds like we started out wanting more than everybody and then changed our minds about it.

"Destroied"!?! OK, if he can't even spell-check that, then he's just plain stupid.

We are "Pro-Marriage" and we think everyone who wants to be married, should be married, to their best friend. Please see the Caffection YouTube videos and pass them along to supporters of marriage. What an exciting time! Let's all join in the positive pro-marriage movement. EVERYONE should be MARRIED TO THEIR BEST FRIEND.

Jeremy,
I hope you have seen Pete's latest post on Folsom. It is so odd, it almost makes me think he is actually working for us. Trying to make his side look so unhinged.

Just take a look at the poster he includes. He has barred the website from being seen but the man with a dripping penis is in full view. It's simply bizarre!

I can't watch it. I just can't get past the creepy narration. Sounds like Ed freakin' Wood doesn't it?

I'm impressed that you were able to choose just a single favorite part.

Favorite part A: "This is a message direct from the Bible, but first we're going to alter it and add "Sodomite" to change the explicit meaning of the verse."

Favorite part B: How do I know whether I'm a homosexual, a sodomite, or a fag? I think it would be nice to know what classification I fit under.

Favorite part C: Please send your donation in regards to this Colorado bill to Alabama.

Do they think (this nutjob as well as Dobby, La Barbarian et al)they draw people to their side with this hateful nonsense?

It seems so off putting, but then again if you're that hateful and afraid then this type of message wouldn't be so bad after all.

Posted by: johnozed | Aug 26, 2008 5:59:02 PM

I was too busy making the sodomy to pay attention to the video.

I think my favorite part is at the end when he misspells destroyed spelling it as destroid :)

Posted by: Jooolie | Aug 26, 2008 7:18:46 PM

I had to turn off my Gregorian Chants to hear it.... but then turned them back on...so much better....Yeah Destroied....Really did destroy it.

I'm writing because I just got a new house this summer and I wonder if I could be put on a special list or something so it won't get destroyed with the rest of the nation. Can you give me a couple months to at least get the landscaping in order?

My hatred of the announcement was destroied by the dancey remix at the end. Being gay, I was drawn to the rhythm but as I sang along with the lyrics posted on the screen I suddenly began speaking in tongues and my desire to destroi the nation melted away.

It's interesting that he uses "Pride goes before the fall" at the begining. It's a bit prideful to say the Holy Ghost approves of this video.

:o)

I like the crazy ones the best, because they obliterate the bogus “pro-familiy”, “love the sinner, hate the sin” façade and show the true fear and lack of rationality at the heart of fundamentalists.

Posted by: Jonathan | Aug 27, 2008 9:36:34 AM

"Pride goes before the fall"

The funny part is they have no clue that their own arrogance IS "pride". And everyone in America knows that there's nobody in this country as arrogant and full of pride (among other things) than these "born-again christian" types.

So stay out of the way when THEIR inevitable "fall" happens - just 2 or 3 of those "concerned women for America" alone will cause an earthquake. Colorado itself might get crushed and shattered off the map.

Johnozed: "Do they think (this nutjob as well as Dobby, La Barbarian et al)they draw people to their side with this hateful nonsense?"

No, no, no – you miss the point, my friend. The intention is much more sinister than that: the point is not to convert other people, but to keep the ones who already share their views in check. As Jeremy so often points out, these conservative types know their time is coming and realise that it is futile to try and win new people to their cause, so the best they can do is try to keep the ones they have and hope that a revival in socially conservative ideals takes place before they die out completely.
It's a defence mechanism.

I soo hate Religion and it's freaks that believe in something that can't be proven!

Did anyone else notice that SB became "Satan's Bill?" Pretty clever.
