Ann & Nancy: McCain not our 'Magic Man'
Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson, who have long been supportive of LGBT and other progressive causes, are ready to go Crazy On John McCain for his continued use of their music. McCain and Co. have been using the song "Barracuda," an apparent reference to Sarah Palin's toughness. But Ann and Nancy are having none of it, saying that "Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song":
Bad news for Republicans who love '70s era sister duos. Good news for the far-right extremists among the party who've long been trying to make the GOP more Heart-less.
**"Barracuda" as it's meant to be performed:
Not a fan of Heart but I do like one or two of their songs. I was surprised to hear Barracuda last night, but now I am quite glad they've stopped it from being used anymore by the wrong wing.

John didn't you read Towelroad piece. THEY were told to ceas and desist BEFORE the Convention use and used it anyway. Remember Republicans don't have to obey the laws,

For the party who claims "everything secular is satanic", they sure don't mind spitting in God's face and using secular music to promote their agenda, anyway.
According to them, they can't be using anything other than hymnals.
I like Heart's music, and using "Barracuda" to describe Palin is an insult to them. She's no barracuda - just a nutty woman who believes she has a penis. That's all!

Sarah Palin certainly is no barracuda. I've swam with barracuda and she is more like a blowfish, always trying to appear bigger than she is. And no, being a hockey mom, who is the living proof that her abstinence-only approach to sex ed doesn't work, doesn't qualify someone to be president. And being governor of a state with fewer people than Phoenix, AZ doesn't either.
BTW, I saw Heart in concert a couple of months ago in San Diego. Even after all these years, the Wilson Sisters still rock!!!!

I'm suprised they didn't try to use this song:
