A gay-less world: It's in their nature

by Jeremy Hooper

This is how the Campaign For Children & Families, a key proponent of California's gay marriage ban, captions an LA Times photo from Saturday's Join The Impact protest:

But don't be confused, gays: They of course mean "the war against nature" in a nice, sweet, moral way. Because, ya know, they are not anti-gay. No, no -- they are simply "pro-family" Christians who are merely trying to protect children, families, and traditions.

[::writer rolls eyes so dramatically, he's sure CCF will next accuse his exaggerated ocular gesturing of also being outside the confines of what is natural::]

Hey, society: Will you please wake up and see that these people want us GONE?!?

Your thoughts

I just wanted to say, I love your blog and found it through Blog Explosion, and also, I think you're completely right. It's clear to see now that there's two sides to this and you're either on one or the other. The passing of Prop 8 might do the community good in terms of finally getting people to stop letting this hatred slide. It's blogs like yours that make our equality that bit nearer, so thank you.

You're sweet, Stevem. Thanks.
