Rights group to Mormons: Put your (considerable, obviously liquid for political purposes) money where your mouth is

A brilliant strategy:

It remains to be seen if the LDS church will answer positively, stepping up to Utah's fight for LGBT equality in a major way. Though if you think the possibility of that is greater than not, then you might need to lay off your visits to the church of LSD.

Hmm. At least someone's calling their bluff. As we know, they're likely bigots at heart.

If it does turn out that they support equal rights, but they just want a monopoly on the term 'marriage' then they'll look even more fucking stupid, for having wasted our time on idiotic semantics. We already know that civil unions =/= marriage but they lied about that, there's no way they'll support this to save face. It'd show that they're even more petty for fighting over use of an arbitrary word for a certain group!

Talk about "damned if they do . . . damned if they don't." But I suspect that the lying liars will simply refuse to respond, or make some lame-ass excuse that their words were taken out of context, or other weaselly tactic to squirm out of it. But I applaud the effort!
