The facts about 'Fax': e-Head gave butt load to Prop 8!

Do you use eFax to send correspondence? Do your gay friends? Well, you might wanna use an alternate messaging service and tell them about the following nugget, which just turned up on Datalounge.

The unfortunate nugget: It seems the CEO of eFax's parent company, J2 Global Communications, donated a whopping 15K towards passing Prop 8:

Gee, if only there were any other way in this day and age to send electronic documents...

I'm pretty sure he was kidding. And referring to the much more popular service called 'email'.

I just called efax to cancel my account and the reason I gave them is I cannot support a company who's president supported Prop 8 and feels that some citizens are more equal than others. Call their toll free number to voice your displeasure also...

There are a bunch of alternatives to efax. Just note that a few of them are owned by the same parent company, J2. See http://www.fax-compare.com/providers

I switched our corporate efax service to metrofax.com a few weeks ago and have been perfectly pleased with the service. It's cheaper than efax too.
