Better than never. But woefully too late

On, the bitter irony.  From May to November, we poured our little hearts out trying to show the public the ills of Proposition 8.  We took to the air, to the web, to the streets, hoping to stop the horrid ban.  Who knew that all we really needed to do was recruit some Hollywood folks to film a musical parody:

And that's not all the national public attention.  Today's NY Times is also running this:

For This Songwriter, the Political Is Musical [NY Times]

So take note, future marriage equality campaign staffers.  A dash of Dewey Cox and Nacho Libre will do far more than even the best TV spot with the most high profile political name.  It's the celeb-obsessed world in which we live, kiddies.  If we want to win in the future, we must fight, engage, connect ... and recruit Britney Spears.
