Milk's second serving: Box office bones still being fortified

by Jeremy Hooper

Harve-Milk-Sean-PennIn its first week, we saw Milk haul in a huge per screen average. This weekend the flick expanded from 36 to 99 theaters, and it's estimated grosses show that the Harvey biopic is holding on to its hefty take:

MILK: $17,071 per screen average/ $1,690,000 total gross [Box Office Mojo]

The flick goes even wider on 12/12. Here's hoping that this year, rather than leaving out milk and cookies for Santa, Americans will instead leave MIlk knowing that gays are not kookies who come from Satan.
