Serious Ex-Im: Hochberg tapped to head super important bank thingie

by Jeremy Hooper

This from HRC :

BREAKING: Fred Hochberg, a former Human Rights Campaign board member and current member of HRC's public policy committee, will be named chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
BREAKING: Fred Hochberg to lead U.S. Export-Import Bank [HRC Back Story]

200901091055Mazel Tov, Fred! We'd be lying if we said we're well versed in the day-to-day operations of the Export-Import Bank. Heck, when we first heard there was a new gay development involving Export-Import, we thought it was a new way of identifying sexual roles, a sort of replacement for Top-Bottom. But after learning more, we now realize that this is a pretty big deal and a pretty nice gig. A position with actual influence both here and abroad.

So yea, congrats, Mr. Hochberg. May your exports be expert and your imports important.

Your thoughts

Too tricksy in my early AM. Here I am trying to figure out why it is good that an Ex-Im...which I thought was shorthand for Ex-Gay...got a plum post. Well, at least reading the rest solved that.

I think if I didn't already have satellite radio I never would have gotten that pun. Still, good one :)
