Video: See, they've 'changed.' Their shirts tell you so.
The first thing you need to know about the following video: Charlene's last name is actually Cothran, not Cochran.
The second thing you need to know: That surname misnomer is still more factual than everything else in the vid. Have a look:
We do like the shirts, though. Totally campy.
*Note, 2/5: The video has been reposted since we originally found it, with the word "Cothran" corrected in the text. However, the interviewer still says "Cochran."
**Here's all of our earlier Cothran hullabaloo: Charlene Cothran Archive. Especially check out this interview, wherein Charlene admits that she's actually just celibate, which is far different from being "changed" into a hetero: Charlene: From gay club to other 'Club' [G-A-Y]
"... you are on your way to Hell!"
I just realized that HELL would be a great name for a gay bar! Just think about it, when the fundies say that we are "on our way to hell," we could say, "Oh, not right now, it doesn't start hoppin' until after midnight."

Don't be stealing my idea. Actually mine was a side by side bar, Heaven and Hell, with bartenders dressed as devils and angels. Hell of course would be the dance-bar.

Yea, Timothy, I always find it so interesting (and telling) how much stock they put in outward appearances as part of their "change." Especially the females -- Fryrear, Cothran. It's all so superficial.

Can you imagine if all it took was to wear an Ex-Homosexual t-shirt to change from homo to hetero?
HA! HA! I can see a SNL or MAD TV skit from this! :p

I think the scarier thing is the research behind the conf where she was delivering her speech as a keynote speaker. The IMPACT movement is a religious based movement on college campuses across the US targeted at Black Students. I graduated from college in 2004 from UVA and the IMPACT movement was newly gaining steam and now looks like it is really rolling. They have a store full of Ex- T shirts (ex-masturbator, ex-fornicator, ex-atheiest, etc) that you can purchase on their website for $10...I think we often see the AFA and older Dobson crew at the forefront of the gay agenda battle but the young conservatives and minority sides are often ignored, which turns out is not so smart if you believe all the Prop 8 and blacks hype...maybe white young people are supporting LGBT rights but I def think it's a diff story when you look at young minorities...What's being done to target the IMPACT community? And, believe me it is a large group!
