Video: The deevolution will be televised
We in the gay community have worked for years to teach America about our lives and loves, and to cut through the dangerous spin that has caused harm for so many queer people. A well-financed, well-connected network is trying to undermine all of that progress with a thoroughly unscientific message of "change":
And here we were annoyed with having to be subjected to the early round American Idolers' discordant notes. Who knew that the winter TV schedule would also be tarnished with the out-of-tune, inharmonious idea that gays and lesbians can and should change their sexual orientations? [::sigh::] We can take a sixteen-year-old butchering "Respect" -- but a grown adult massacring the concept of respect for gay lives and loves is far more jarring! We're not digging it, dawg.

Well, at least there is Oprah and Rev. Ed Bacon. All of those lying liars might have the God-Damn-Them-To-Hell channel, but Oprah has all of the channels that people actually watch.
