Video: Green Mountain debate

They packed 'em in last night at the Vermont State House, where locals gathered to speak both for and against a bill that would grant basic fairness to same-sex couples. Here's an overwhelming amount of video from the proceedings, courtesy of VT Freedom to Marry:

So many people. On an "American Idol" night, no less! We don't know how many people will RSVP to our weddings, but the contention over our right to actually have one is the social event of the season.

I can't believe I watched that lady's entire tirade.

Good Lord, what's the use of getting your panties in a bunch over something that has no adverse effect on you that isn't entirely perceived? I'm of the opinion most of the anti-speakers here just need a better hobby.
