Some Iowa gavel-bangers sure know how to judge

This from the Des-Moines Register:

At least one Iowa magistrate has decided that he will no longer perform marriages, a response due in part to the Iowa Supreme Court ruling that allows same-sex couples to marry.

Third District Magistrate Francis Honrath of Larchwood on Wednesday said he will not be performing marriages.
...
More judges are expected to take similar action, which could make it challenging for even heterosexuals to marry, a political science professor, a chief district court judge and a same-sex marriage opponent speculated.

Well, at least these magistrates are being true to the last two syllables of their title. Now we think they should take it even further and insist on only marrying brides-to-be who are named Madge.

Or better yet: They could just get over themselves and enjoy the full spectrum on world, wherein sometimes magisgay (and ready to bang a Sue, not a gavel).

"Waah! I don't want to do my job!"

I can see the ONN headline now!

Straight Marriages SUSPENDED Due to Gay Marriage in Iowa!

Little does it matter to the lying liars that a (more than likely religious and) heterosexual judge made that decision himself.

If you're against gays, can you refuse them housing? Refuse them a seat in your restaurant? Refuse them entry to your university? Not allow them to sit at the front the bus?

Seriously, just because you're against something, does not give you the right to treat them with inequality.

He doesn't want to do his job? Fine. Do the same thing to him that would happen to me if I decided to not do my job: FIRE HIM!
