**UPDATE: The vote regarding whether or not to put the matter to a statewide referendum came in at a 96-52 split against a public vote. Not sure what sort of sign this sends in terms of our ability to achieve a veto-proof majority (100+) on the marriage equality measure itself. Stay tuned.

*They are breaking for dinner until 7:15. This could be a late one.

*8:57: Very emotional testimony. Vote coming soon.

**FINAL UPDATE: Breaking: By civil vote, VT votes to upgrade our unions. But the sweetness is bitter. [G-A-Y]
