Gays NY, but Some NY'ers don't gays

by Jeremy Hooper

While the weather yesterday in NYC remained consistently overcast, the climate alternated between dark clouds and sunshine. Fellow Gothamite Joe Jervis has done a nice job capturing both the hostile:

Your thoughts

My wife and I weren't gonna go. We wanted to watch the Detroit Red Wings beat the Chicago Blackhawks. (She loves hockey, got me obsessed as well, and that's her favorite team.) Besides, Broadway bores us both witless. But, as I blogged at my Front Porch, she's Russian. The outcome of the rallies in Moscow this week saddened, angered, and shamed her. She felt an obligation to go, so we went, surreptitiously checking how the Wings were doing at times on our phones. :-)

We are so, so, so glad we went! We'd almost forgotten how good it feels to just stand up and be counted. Thanks to Joe Jervis for the captures, and thank you for sharing them.
