Okay, now it's just getting bizarre

by Jeremy Hooper

PrejeanThis exclusive comes from TMZ:

So how does a beauty queen turn into the poster child against gay marriage? In the case of Miss California Carrie Prejean, the answer may lie in an ugly divorce that may have cemented her views on gay relationships.

Carrie's parents filed for divorce in 1988 and the divorce and custody fights went on for more than a decade -- it was a divorce filled with homosexual allegations hurled by both sides.

In one of the docs, Carrie's dad describes a confrontation he had with her mom in 1996, in which he recounts an argument in a restaurant parking lot, where "Ms. Prejean accused me, in front of our daughter, of homosexuality."

That is interesting, but the last line of TMZ is way more sinister.

"
For the record, there are other allegations -- absolutely hideous -- in the divorce and custody papers -- which we have elected not to publish. "

These may be so bad, that the 'focus' of their remembered trauma is thrust back onto the less personal parental HOMO fear, and I am afraid if they are in court documents they will come out. Poor thing... but she is the one who opened her pretty mouth. PS was the orthodontia also paid for by the Pageant committee?

If this is true it does make one a bit more sympathetic to Ms.Prejean.

I've always felt that she was one very messed up young lady. Now, it looks like she never had a chance.

Over the line. Digging through divorce records is low. Nothing listed is at all substantial...

Sounds like a fucked-up family of wannabe WASP's to me!

True, Leo, but they can't blame US for it, LOL

I've known a number of opposite marriages that have ended with accusations of homosexuality thrown around in court proceedings, but I've never known any of those accusations to be substantiated. I think people figure it's a good way to engender a little sympathy from the judge, making their marital problems fall more squarely on the shoulders of one party than the other.

What's more intriguing to me is the fact that Prejean's parents are divorced. I thought "traditional" opposites believed marriage to be a sacred, unbreakable bond between a set of XX chromosomes a set of XY chromosomes. Prejean, it seems, was born of sinful fornicators. No offense.
