Chemotherapy is something you 'tolerate.' We aren't chemo.
They say:
"The United States federal government, now by executive order, signed by the President of the United States, is declaring national pride in these lifestyles," [Southern Baptist Convention President Albert Mohler] contends. "This is not mere toleration; it's not calling for legalization, an end to criminal sanctions. It's not calling even for something like civil unions...it's calling for pride."
Scripture, Mohler points out, does not allow Christians to be proud of sin
Obama more than tolerant of homosexual lifestyle [ONN]
We say:
"Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding -- you win the prize, Mr. Mohler. For you have seemingly pinpointed that fact that we LGBT Americans will never settle for governmental 'tolerance.' Tolerance is applicable to the need for people of a ll faiths, races, sexual orientations, national origins, etc. to live together in peace. But when it comes to tax-paying citizens being fairly treated/represented/considered by their government and its top dogs, we won't settle for anything that's even a fraction of a degree less than full respect.
Scripture, Hooper points out, does not allow Christians to control civil government
Obama (thankfully) more than tolerant of homosexual lifestyle [G-A-Y]
Your thoughts
Jeremry -
I was going to say your photo looked as though you were going thru a James Dean phase - but James is a bit older (more my generation) than you might emulate so, on second thought you look sort of like Leo DiCaprio - albiet, MUCH more handsome than Leo - - I know you realize what you have with Andrew but I hope (although, I think I know)that Andrew knows what a prize he's getting, Mazel Tov

Tom: I've always been one of those "you look like" kinds of people. I certainly got the Leo thing in high school, when I was more boyish. Dean too. Even though he might not have been of my generation, almost every girl I knew in high school had his poster on their wall.
And yes, Andrew and I both realize how lucky we are. We compliment each other beautifully.

He sounds like he thinks Obama created pride month.

"Scripture, Mohler points out, does not allow Christians to be proud of sin."
Scripture also admonishes us to not judge others. But, that is just one of many things on a very long list that "Christians" choose to ignore.

Funnily enough, "tolerate" describes my feelings about Mohler perfectly.

If I remember correctly, scripture doesn't allow the pious pinheads to be proud of anything. The Catholics list pride as one of the seven deadly sins. And, I fully agree that all christians should be ashamed of themselves. They should be loving, warm, and welcoming with open arms, but they have adopted the back-handed fist approach of xenophobia instead.
Shameful! And shameless at the same time.
