Currying gay favor: India removes police tape from same-sex bedrooms
Score one for long overdue basic human decency:
A court in the Indian capital, Delhi, has ruled that homosexual intercourse between consenting adults is not a criminal act.

In keeping with the spirit of the ruling, we hear that Mumbai will soon change its name to Openlyso.

Yes, it was on NYT of all places. They note that the Indian federal statute 377 was put in place by the ENGLISH in l861... Thus, it is a colonial law holdover.
England itself decriminalized homosexuality in 1967.... so 42 years later.. one city (only), in India has. Oh well...better late than never?
