One small step for man, one giant leap for 'queer looks'

We of course want to honor the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. But we also want to keep our LGBT themes. What's a "culture war" space cadet to do?

Well, the summer of '69 was pretty queer all around. I came out that summer after graduating from college, so that was a magical time for me. And, of course, there was the Stonewall riots that summer. But I also managed to fit in lots of excitement for the Apollo 11 mission.
