Photo: They feel a victory; we feel a de-duodenuming

To visually represent their marriage efforts in Maine, the Family Research Council is today running this image:

We applaud them for accurately representing how their attempts to roll back equality feel for gay people. We just wish they would've pulled the frame back a little further to fully show the figurative gutting that we suffer at their hands:

Your thoughts

Typical FRC crap...

But I'm worried. After what happened in California, I think it could EASILY happen again. I know the legal/political process is different in Maine than in California.

I lived through Prop. 8 in California and I've even emailed my ideas and opinions to a Maine Equality group. All I can say is I hope they get out front on this fast, because in California, the TV commercials from the anti-equality side is what lost it for us. The commercials were all lies, but extremely effective in scaring voters. If the Maine pro-equality groups let them get away with these same kinds of lies, we will lose.

I do not understand the mindset of a group that is so triumphant and pleased about working to take things away from fellow adult citizens and hurt them. Your interpretation of the graphic is about as good an explanation as any.
