Video: Kirstie ally

by Jeremy Hooper

During her one term in the House, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) had the lowest HRC score of any NY state Democratic legislator. But times, and houses of Congress, change. And now that Hillary Clinton's appointed chair-warmer is gearing up for her own senatorial election in 2010 (which encompasses the whole state rather than her conservative congressional district), Gillibrand has been increasingly clear about her unequivocal support for various LGBT rights measures.

Consider the following vid her next step in letting her pride flag fly. Here's the junior senator with fellow gay ally Howard Dean, discussing her support for full marriage equality (which she boldly and accurately calls "the civil rights march of our generation"), DADT repeal, and her overall commitment to wiping the stench of bias off of America's taint. LGBT part begins around 4:50:

Howard Dean Endorses Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand [YT:Gillibrand 2010]
