'How I Met Your Cover'

by Jeremy Hooper

Ny-Neil-Patrick-harris-gayLove that he's reading Street Gang, a very well-written account of "Sesame Street," its inception, and its longterm preservation. And we absolutely hope that he, someone who has also refused to sell out his Bert & Ernie-ness for the sake of ease, does make good on his plans to someday reinvent the TV format (and to call us when he does!).

That's but only one positive reaction this writer had upon checking out New York magazine's new cover story on a truly fab LGBT role model, one Mr. Neil Patrick Harris. Go have a read and form your own responses:

Neil Patrick Harris used to be an underage doctor on TV. Now he’s another Hollywood first: an out gay actor who can host award shows, play a womanizer, walk the red carpet with his boyfriend, and then get cast in movies as a straight dad. Neat trick.
