When all is said and done, the gay '90s will have two enduring icons. Tomorrow (10/9), this happens:

Wow.

**And don't forget that on Monday, at various theatres across the nation, we vow to never forget.

Your thoughts

I remember picking up a copy of THE ADVOCATE with Matthew Sheppard's photo on the cover which was all black. I don't remember if I was out yet, but I remember feeling horrified and angry that somebody would do this just because he was gay.Oh where is the justice, and where was god?!

I just saw the interview. Where was God? He was, and is, with that beautiful, courageous woman who has turned a horrific tragedy into an opportunity to open the eyes of countless people across the country.

Matt would have been in his early 30s now. He was robbed of his future; thanks to people like Judy Shepard, other young people will not be robbed of theirs.
