Bill O'Reilly Interviews Gay Rights Activist About Obama [YT]
Don't you just "love" O'Reilly's verbal flourishes? He talks about "all this gay stuff" like there is, at best, no value on our lives, loves, and protection thereof, or, at worst, an extremely negative value placed on the same. He goes to great lengths to act as if he is just oh-so-annoyed with the fact that this conversation is even happening, even though he, with his major platform that has been so focused on keeping gay people seen as a "controversy," is a major reason as to why our basic human rights are still a topic of discussion! It's so annoying.
Will President Obama do as Wayne suggests and come out in full support for full LGBT equality under the civil law simply because "it's the right thing to do"? In a perfect world, yes immediately; in this world, maybe someday. But the Bill O'Reillys of the world are fostering a toxic atmosphere wherein we, perfectly "normal" tax-paying human beings who are fed up with having to prove our "worth," are fully reduced to political pawns, with no premium placed on the righteousness of our civil rights cause. To start winning we must first stop casual accepting this extremely offensive way of viewing our existences!

Just today i had some prick say i was 'self-centered' for wanting Obama to get off his ass and actually do something towards equality. Because he's 'busy' and theirs so many important things. What a load of bullshit! if that straight guy couldn't get married, couldn't join the military and could get fired in 30 states for letting people know he did a chick he wouldnt be patient about it, he wouldn't let someone call him 'self-centered' for wanting equality now, he'd be fucking screaming that something be done to fix this, healthcare, iraq, the economy and afghanistan be damned! but no, were just a handful of perverts to him so we can sit and wait our turn to be treated as well as him.

And compare that to O'Reilly's "war on Christmas" mentality if some store thinks it would be more inclusive to say "Happy Holidays" as opposed to "Merry Christmas".
Cause THAT is obviously a declaration of "war"...
