For those who find the birther movement too credible

by Jeremy Hooper

Did you know that there's an out lesbian who is calling for the impeachment of President Obama? It's true. Her name is Tammy Bruce, and she's [unwarrantedly] mad as [faux, right wing-stirred up] hell and she's not going to take it anymore [after only nine months of supposed suffering].

This is part of an email that the far-right TownHall site is sending around:

And by "unabated malevolence," Tammy of course means "exists as an African-American progressive with a funny name and a preference for thought and consideration rather than knee-jerk reaction." Or at least that's how we see it.

The guy behind this impeach campaign, Floyd Brown, is the same man who created the insidious Willie Horton ad of the elder's Bush's first campaign. In case you needed more reason to shake your head at the unabashed nastiness that has unfortunately come to define this nation's right wing.

Your thoughts

Wait, wait, wait, - you guys have a president who committed illegal wiretapping, started a war with a country based on weapons that he knew didn't exist, and essentially lied to his country on a regular basis, and the person to impeach is Obama who hasn't actually been in office long enough to do anything, let alone anything illegal?

This is exactly why some people shouldn't be allowed to vote - some people are simply unable to think critically for themselves, and that's who the religious right are reaching out to.

Floyd Brown (yes, "brown" as in the color of shit) signs the vague dribble on this website. In its April 25, 2008 issue Salon.com magazine said this about the fearmonger, "He has given conservatism a rank smell for two decades --and if there is a racist odor to the coming general election campaign, it is likely to emanate from his vicinity." Nuff said...

Tammy needs to pull back from the edge a bit. While I too oppose a significant amount of policy views the President holds, I see nothing in the 10 months that warrants impeachment. Such may happen in the future, or perhaps not, but there is nothing to date that necessitates such a politically-charged action. Oh and I do think there are some actions he has taken that deserve to be struck down by the Courts but even those based upon what I know of the President's involvement are not impeachable. As for Article II on their list, that's just nonsense and a poison-pill for any serious effort to impeach the man. Yeah I'd like every candidate for office to put forth certified documents like birth certificate, health records, etc., but what the President has released about his birth records satisfies me.

No Tammy, put aside this and fight the good fight where it belongs: in the halls of Congress and at the polls.

And yet, they are unable to give one impeachable offense. By the way, good luck trying to add "courtesy to a foreign leader" to impeachable offenses.

I am sick of this anti-Obama sentiment. Everything he attempts is met with road blocks from the GOP fucktards. And the noisy assholes following the GOP talking points are generally racist & ignorant. It is sickening and disgusting.
