Well we would hate to be a headache, now wouldn't we?
-We gays are only a few years away from the time when our sexual orientations were deemed "mental illnesses."
-An inclusive military will requrte "special training."
-Openly gay soldiers will have to have their own, separate barracks.
-The whole idea of military fairness should be abandoned because gays would be a "headache" for the armed forces.
All of these points and more from Bethel, PA's John Wolf:
Gays would be headache for military
Editor:
It seems we can't let a week go by these days without the media telling us about the "wonders" of the homosexual lifestyle. The attempt to force the military to admit open homosexuals leaves out quite a bit that its proponents don't want you to find out, and they are very militant in their opposition to you gaining access to that information.
In addition to its overall destructive effects on the family, this disorder is very much at the root of a number of distinctive diseases that can be slowed in their progress simply by stopping or abstaining from the behavior. While it is often stated that militaries of other nations have admitted these people to the ranks, they fail to disclose that they, too, have experienced a number of problems due to that inclusion.
Those same problems await our military. Commanders and first sergeants, judge advocate generals and chaplains will have to deal with increasing incidents as real conflict will result when someone who objects to the lifestyle is billeted with a homosexual. The result will be an otherwise normal person who will have to make special accommodations as well as receiving costly training for someone who, until a few years ago, was considered to have a mental illness.
That societal stigma was removed not for medical or scientific reasons but through political pressure. The medical costs of diseases spread by homosexual behavior will most definitely affect readiness. The cost of initiating this policy will also include separate billeting for both female and male homosexuals. The military currently segregates by gender and will have to do so in this case as well. That means thousands of new barracks and dormitories as well as other accommodations courtesy of the taxpayer.
The purpose of the military is to fight our wars and defend our nation. It's time to stop using the military for every social experiment liberals can think up.

Take an aspirin, Mr. Wolf. We're coming in.
Your thoughts
Not the nicest thing to say, Jeremy - we'd be a headache but how long has people like John Wolf been a pain in the ass for us?

John Wolf speaks with code-word-forked tongue. Which leads one to ask why he doesn't come clean as to what his motivation is for writing this attack piece is. One might think that it is he who seems "very militant in [his] opposition to you gaining access to that information." The lying liars disguise themselves in all sorts of garb, in an attempt to seem like ordinary, non-biased and trustworthy citizens. But when they so clearly take their marching orders from those who lack any trustworthiness, it's really difficult to believe that they (themselves) are not members of the same cadre of lying liars.

Oh boy...this booger wad served in the military?!
Oh he is SO short on facts, let me count the WAYS...
1. This is an all volunteer military. EVERY branch. Open service, which will be well known to ALL new recruits prior to ENLISTING, means that those who don't want to serve with homosexuals, don't have to sign up!
2. Gays and lesbians have been serving in the military since it's inception. Giving evidence to the fact that THEY have their personal and professional disciplines firmly in place and can conduct the business of serving the country with honor. However, if a straight soldier on learning of their soldier companion's gay orientation, sends them into such a TIZZ...then they are the ones not fit to wear the uniform.
3. Over twenty OTHER countries have openly gay service members in their ranks, serving alongside our in coalition forces. They are ALREADY serving with openly gay soldiers!
Again, does this mean the introduction of gay AMERICAN soldiers is going to get the rank and file and commanders all so hysterical that they can't manage to go on being all they can be?
4. Isn't this old bird sort of admitting that the commanders and so on can't keep their soldiers in line from actually BEING a cohesive unit? Blaming an openly gay person for lack of unit cohesion is patently stupid when it's the commander's job to do that.
5. Are the members of this nation supposed to have confidence in any service member that is about to face bombs, bullets, spies, physical hardship and mental drainage...but serving with someone gay is less acceptable (and harder to handle) than all that other shit?
6. Doesn't this butt wad understand what kind of moral character it would take to endure serving a country in uniform, protecting the rights and freedoms of ALL it's citizens, willing to make a profound sacrifice for what is not available to that gay soldier at home? THAT is a moral grace that this country should be tapping, and rewarding and respecting for ALL IT'S WORTH. Because a human being who can and will do that, is extremely brave and in full command of their loyalties and self discipline.
7. He has NO IDEA how many gay people likely saved HIS career, and very life in combat without demanding anything more than what their fellows had without asking.
He owes each and every gay service member an apology, each straight member who is willing to serve with gay people an apology and he's an asshole for saying what he did.
He insulted all of them, where respect must be paid. Just because he's a wuss about this, doesn't mean every other soldier out there has to be.
Just my five cents...thanks Jeremy.

Oh and...
The military isn't a place to indulge PREJUDICE like this. Gay men and women are not at war with anyone.
I always wondered why it's fine to have Muslims in the ranks (and I don't have a problem with that) while our nation is actively engaged in two wars involving Islam and it's adherents.
There have been THREE deadly attacks on soldiers from one of their own in the ranks. The Ft. Hood incident was the most recent.
The military, in making a point in discharging highly qualified and competent gay members, accepts people like the Ft. Hood shooter regardless of their less than competent or qualified record. To say nothing of Hassan spending years trying to get OUT of his obligation to serve.
I might also ad that had the government and military people in command, been more engaged in serious scrutiny of Hassan, might have averted this disaster.
Instead, undue scrutiny is however applied to gay men and women in uniform and no such threats have been found.
I mean, if I were a military strategist, one could say this was the dumbest way of conducting the war I've ever seen.
Especially since who we're at war with IS stealth oriented, doesn't wear a uniform, nor can be identified so easily.
However, forcing gay soldiers to BE liars, on condition of losing their careers is a dangerous and wholly unnecessary standard and burden placed on them. These are people who WANT and should be honest and open about themselves where the enemy and terrorists will not be.
I'm not even a soldier, and it scares me that this much logic is bypassing the powers that be.

If they haven't disclosed the "problems", how do we know they're there?

Good one, Yuki!

Hey, Lone Wolf.
I'm glad you're retired, it was already obvious. Your whole generation is so steeped in superstition, phobia, racism, and fear, we won't miss you when you're gone.
Thanks for your service to our country, I'm glad you are out to pasture and heading towards the afterlife.
