Stand For Marriage Maine: The gift that keeps on giving (us agita)

by Jeremy Hooper

EmrichTwo weeks ago, Bob Emrich was in the news for promoting a Ugandan article that itself supported the country's proposed "kill/imprison gays bill."

This week, he's back with his old partner in Maine bias, Marc Mutty, fundraising for the cause of discriminatory debt reduction:

Oh, Mutty. Oh, Emrich. You can pay off the campaign debt all you want. The karma one is indelible!

Your thoughts

Interesting that they approached voting day with so little confidence in the voters (to stand for bigotry) and yet so much confidence in their financial backers (to pony up a last, fast, burst of cash).

And now, they're coming back to those supporters saying, "Ooops... we kinda goofed... but it's not really our fault!" The not-so-subtle underbelly of that is, "Actually, dear donors, this is all YOUR fault! If you only understood how dire our needs were in late October, we wouldn't be in this fix now."

"Our opponents..."

With just two words, the Mutt and his boyfriend Otherized the millions of progressive-minded people opposed to civil equality setbacks, making them irrevocably into faceless enemies. Them's fighting words.

"...haven't wasted a moment in mobilizing their forces..."

Again, it's funny that the Mutt both provides no evidence for his claims, nor does he attempt to treat equiality-minded people as living. feeling human beings rather than political robots. Big Brother himself would have been proud of such propaganda.

"...for their next endeavor to destroy marriage between a man and a woman."

What utter, vile filth. He KNOWS that all we want is to protect our families. He KNOWS that we don't want to do ANYTHING to others' families. Yet nonetheless he despises us enough to COMPLETELY misrepresent our true position, which in no way affects ANY heterosexual union. What a lying sack of shit. He'd better be glad I don't have murderous tendencies like so many of his gun totin' closet-buddies.
