The book is always better anyway

by Jeremy Hooper

200808070912-2We haven't had real video, and we're still waiting for those reenactments. But if you're looking for the official transcripts from each day of the federal Prop 8 trial, American Foundation For Equal Rights has them for you in handy pdf form:

Perry Trial Transcripts [AFER]

You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll look at the calendar and question whether this "homosexuality = pedophilia" testimony is really happening in California in 2010.

It's a real page turner, even if the script's antagonists are hellbent on reversing that natural progression.

Your thoughts

As a Californian, I'm not surprised that this is happening here. Homophobia is a sin like adultery, stealing and murder. Since radical anti-gay activist Tam is caught up in the counterfeit-religion that homophobia = Christ, nothing should surprise us. Sin always leads to more sin so homophobia will naturally lead to lying and many other sins. Until Mr. Tam repents and walks away from his homophobia, he will be unable to comprehend that what he is doing is wrong and evil. (The Bible is also very clear that revilers are going to hell which should be incentive enough for him to leave the sinful, anti-gay lifestyle.)

Hope, if you have the time you get to read all this. So far our side doing a good presentation of the paucity of validity, other than personal animus, of the other side.
Thanks for post. Shannon Minter does good round up each day (I am keeping copies of both). By far the best lawyer at the first trial.
