Video: Ollie, Ollie: Oxen may be free, gay soldiers not so much

by Jeremy Hooper

Oh how the anti-equality forces love the NAMBLA. It's like candy to bias-minded baby. That's because the anti-gays think it's our 'Nam.

Only problem for them: The American public can see right through this tactic. Any truthful public official can also see right through it, and congress would never be able to stop basic military fairness on the "merits" that Ollie suggest. That's because it's wholly indefensible: In congress, on TV, and in life. Saying and accepting such things is done at both Ollie North and Sean Hannity's own professional peril.

***

*As our pals at ThinkProgress say:

"The irony of a convicted felon who lied about diverting proceeds from arms sales to a rebel group in Nicaragua supporting a policy that forces gay and lesbian servicemen to lie about their sexual orientation was lost on both Hannity and North."

Your thoughts

I have a question. If Oliver North is a convicted felon, is he prohibited from voting?

My question is: WHY is anyone treating him as if he has any moral credibility to speak out on any issue?

Is nambla really still an organization? Maybe we should defer to Ollie's obvious wealth of knowledge on the subject, because one would suspect that the only ones who really know the answer to that question, would be those who are members?? But, even Ollie would have to admit that eighteen year olds (the legal age for voluntary enlistment in the military) would be adults (at least in the eyes of the legal system), and probably wouldn't really fit into Mr. North's ideal of a nambla pairing...

What's really disgusting is that these so called upstanding citizens NEVER point out the hypocricy of other parts of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice such as the ADULTERY clauses that would drum out half of the service if it were enforced.
