Stevens out

J-P-StevensSupreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, whose insightful dissent in 1986's Bowers v. Hardwick was cited as the proper analysis to guide 2003's landmark Lawrence v. Texas, has officially announced his retirement, set for this summer.

Social conservatives are said to already loathe President Obama's unnamed replacement.
