Bryan 'Homosexuals in the military gave us...six million dead Jews' Fischer: A 'values' voice?!

by Jeremy Hooper

Earlier today we told you how TV"s popular Duggar family will be honored at this year's Values Voters Summit. Well now comes word of another confirmed Values Voters participant that we had initially missed. Namely: The AFA's Bryan Fischer:

And why is Fischer such an eye-opening selection? Well, take your pick...

The time Mr. Fischer said that 'Homosexuals in the military gave us...six million dead Jews'

The time Mr. Fischer said only gays were savage enough for Hitler

The time Mr. Fischer invoked a Biblical story about stabbing "sexually immoral" people with spears, saying we need this kind of action in modern day

The time Mr. Fischer compared gays to heroin abusers

The time Mr. Fischer told us to just shut up

The time Mr. Fischer oddly interpreted past historical oppressions

The time Mr. Fischer directly compared laws against gay soldiers to those that apply to bank robbers

Over the past few months, Bryan Fischer has become a one man credibility vacuum, sucking away the "nice, loving, Christian" label from anyone who chooses to embolden his thoroughly beyond-the-pale rhetoric. Yet here's the Family Research Council giving this man a plum spot at their most visible event, right alongside presidential candidates, prominent talkers, and families who get booked on "The Today Show" whenever they have a new zygote to announce to Ann Curry?

Sorry, but no! There is a difference between a marketplace met with diverse ideas and a microphone met with condemnations as cruel and toxic as Bryan Fischer's! The former is a deserved freedom, the latter an undeserved free pass.
