If links are love, then Bryan Fischer just gay-married us

by Jeremy Hooper

Bryan "Homosexuals in the military gave us...six million dead Jews" Fischer seems quite proud of all of the remarkably offensive things that he's said about gays over the past few months. In fact, in a new blog post wherein he once again calls for gays to be criminalized...

"If homosexual behavior were still against the law, it would in fact resolve many current social conflicts. We wouldn't have to worry about special rights for gays, since we don't grant special rights based on what the law says is deviant sexual behavior (e.g., we don't grant special employment rights to pedophiles). We wouldn't have to worry about gay marriage since we don't legalize partnerships formed by illegal activity. We wouldn't have to worry about the gay agenda being taught in our schools or gays in the military for similar reasons." [SOURCE]

...Mr. Fischer proudly links to eight different posts that we have written about him, without even caring enough to even change the anchor text that we ourselves wrote for them:

And while his associated post is meant to "explain" what he has been saying about us, in reality it only adds further insult to injury. His attempts at refutation range from weak to nil. His apologies are absent. He's unwilling to concede that his words come with understandably raised eyebrows. His whole post is just more of the same kind of thing that will completely destroy the American Family Association's viability if it stays in the stable.

Then when he puts up our links, he just lifts them from our site without even seeing a need to change the anchor text? There was no reason why he should do that, since in all but one case, the text is different from our headline. So we can only assume that Mr. Fischer is comfortable with our one-line assessments. For some odd reason, he genuinely wants people to see what we have seen.

So okay, fair enough. We'll keep watching. We'll keep posting our takes to his admitted desires to throw us in prison, and we'll keep welcoming his friends if/when they come over and challenge anything we say. Chips will fall, as they always do. But we have nothing but confidence in our position at this particular "culture war" table.
