Video: When Elisabeth speaks on gays, we're hearing Joy

by Jeremy Hooper

We've had an up and down relationship with "The View's" resident conservative, praising her when it's due and chastising her when she fosters untruths (particularly bad in the days post-Prop 8). But this time we really don't know what to think:

Okay, so Lis is using the far-right word "redefine." But at the same time, she seems to be genuinely pressing the president to match his words with actions, something that is nothing short of activist. So what's the deal? Is Elisabeth more committed to our fight than even we've been led to believe? Or is she simply using this as another chance to perform her favorite activity: Digging at Obama and the inefficacy she sees in his leadership?

Or is it that the Pride month presence of Etheridge raises everyone's queer quotient above any intellectual Stonewalls that might have preciously dimmed their rainbows? Discuss.
