What, because the Anita Bryant RV Park would be too much?

by Jeremy Hooper

Of course they did this:

Gay Republican group GOProud has scheduled a July political fundraiser at Proposition 8 supporter Doug Manchester's Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Manchester, you may recall, gave $125,000 to the campaign to pass Proposition 8 and is the target of an active boycott.

But in their defense: There were only a gagillion other California hotels they could've chosen. Plus the Manchester Hyatt's breakfast buffet's supposed to be really good. Who, other than the millions of gays harmed by Prop 8, could ever blame them?

Ooh: Maybe if they're really lucky, Ryan Sorba will have take a summer job as a bellhop!
