Equality and now cartography: What are 'areas where FRC wants to rollback the clock'?

by Jeremy Hooper

If the Family Research Council wants to equip their troops on their newly launched "Battle For Marriage" site, and they want to have a special section on that site entitled "UNDER FIRE: WHAT THE MEDIA WON'T TELL YOU," then they really need to at least have enough passion for accuracy to update the map that potential culture warriors find when they click on that link. Because this ain't cutting it:

SEQUENCE: BattleforMarriage.net---> click "UNDER FIRE: WHAT THE MEDIA WON'T TELL YOU"---> MAP

New Hampshire and VT listed as civil unions rather than marriage states? No mention of Maine civil unions? Iowa not listed as a marriage state? Not to mention there's no listing for the District of Columbia, another marriage jurisdiction and the FRC's home?

Well gee, it's a good thing "THE MEDIA WON'T TELL YOU" about this map. We'd hate you to go around wishing all of your friends and acquaintances a happy new year 2009.
