Linking first openly gay ambassador to pedophilia: Senate training to a TEA?
Yet another Christine O'Donnell eye opener: She once hosted a press conference attempting to link James Hormel, former United States Ambassador to Luxembourg (the first gay man to hold such an ambassadorship), to things like pedophilia:
Now, despite the cameras, we cannot find any media documentation of what went on at this presser. But what we do know is that this attempt to smear Hormel was the far-right cause célèbre of its days, led in large part by the uber-incendiary Traditional Values Coalition. And judging by this pic and caption, Ms. O'Donnell was more than eager to play these over-the-top "culture war" games. Yikes.
