Video: Iowa For Fear Ads

by Jeremy Hooper

It's not just our fair-minded judiciary's crucial role that they are wasting. The Sandra Day O'Connor-misrepresenting, comment moderating social conservatives at "Iowa For Mob Rule" "Iowa For Freedom" have also found some money to blow on a freedom-stifling ad campaign:

Wait a minute: There at the :22 mark -- are they seriously implying that judges are going to next threatening hunting?! What, is that the way the "slippery slope" works in Iowa: Once you have legally married gay couples, it's only a matter of time before deer and turkey get to live out their natural lives without the interruption of a hunter's bullet? Not really sure the connection there, other than the facts that gays and guns are two legs of the typical conservative triform.

So on that note -- perhaps we should just be glad they don't show newly-married gays forcibly grabbing the hunters' guns and then firing at the third leg: a God in the heavens!

Oh, and did you catch the fine print?

Yup, that's right: This one has NOM's fingerprints all over it!

*Oh, and just a reminder (because it can't be stated enough): "Liberal activist" Marsha Ternus was appointed by Terry Branstad, a Republican former governor and, in an interesting twist, the current GOP nominee to retake the governor's office.

Look at how Branstad described Ternus back in '93:
