Many of us in the pro-equality community hold in our minds indelible sites and sounds of former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave saying that same-sex marriages are as "antithetical to our national character" as was human slavery:

But of course Marilyn is a social conservative. So that means that no matter what she said or did about LGBT people, she is still the political "victim" who is being attacked by those mean, gay liberals:
