Illinois Senate passes Civil Unions!
They got 32 votes (30 were need for passage), joining their colleagues in the House. The bill will now go to Gov. Patrick Quinn, who has already said that he'll sign it into law.
A win for equality's march. A loss for my waistline, which has been looking for an excuse to eat a deep dish pizza.
