And now in 'Are those big ass paper towel packs safe for gay dollars?' news...

by Jeremy Hooper

GagaRemember when we told you Lady Gaga had made a deal with Target, under a stated condition that the red-circled retailer would "support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they've made supporting those groups"? Yeah, well -- so much for all that:

Bob Witeck of Witeck-Combs Communications was familiar with the dissolved deal and told Metro Weekly, "Despite the expectation that this was all unfolding as a deal, it has been in a sensitive stage of continued discussion for probably the last three weeks."
...
Of today's announcement, Witeck said, "They wanted to make it public now. They decided it was important that people know there is no deal."

No more details are available, so we don't know if this has anything to do with the gay part of the deal. For all we know, this could be all about dollars and cents and lack of a guaranteed parking spot for her egg.

Someone needs to issue a statement. Or sing it. Or wear it as a costume. Whatever.
