Audio: Oh *please* let NOM call for impeachment. Pretty please.

by Jeremy Hooper

It's no surprise that Rick Santorum -- former Senator and "man on dog" soundbite provider, current GOP presidential hopeful -- would play host to National Organization For Marriage president Brian Brown on the subject of DOMA. After all, Santorum once wrote a pitch letter on behalf of NOM, wherein the the sole focus was on protecting DOMA against "a ruthless attempt by a rich, politically powerful minority to take away the rights of the vast majority of Americans and faith communities." Plus NOM chair Maggie Gallagher admitted that Santorum showed her an early draft of this year's CPAC speech. So we know that Rick is very much in bed with the whole NOM charade.

But we are a little surprised that Rick and Brian would entertain/tease the idea that the President's decision on DOMA is actually an impeachable offense:

So eager to impeach Democratic presidents, that Rick.
