NOM dividing us as a people: Rhode Island Hispanic Church edition
NOM has found its next supposed monolith to (a) genuinely rile up with their talking points and propaganda (b) lump together as a united block in order to create a false reality, and (c) paint as a victim of all those mean "white liberals" who want the freedom to marry. In Rhode Island, Hispanics are the key:

This kind of thing should not even be on their mind. What people look like should not even be a point of focus, much less a hinge point for a support v. non-support divide. Yet in every state, this is ALWAYS the game plan. They use one of the most cynical, most divisive, most exploitative tools in anyone's political arsenal because they know that it can work just enough to reach the desired goal. Fallout be damned.
It truly makes me nauseous. I can't even crack a joke about this cruel strategy that I, an admitted NOM obsessive, witness in ways greater than I can even fully articulate. I can just hope that the last laugh comes from a people united against that which divides us, and not an increasingly disturbing national organization whose unconstitutional, discriminatory ends will never justify such schismatic means.
