NOM knocks pro-gay Facebook spoof; we see that indie effort and raise them their official one

The National Organization For Marriage is lashing out against "a reprehensible move some frustrated gay activists took after last week's close defeat of a civil unions bill in Colorado," specifically going after a spoof Facebook page on which someone left incendiary comments about a local State. DENVER POST: A faux Facebook page rips Rep. B.J. Nikkel over her “no” vote against civil unions, saying the blood of suicidal gays is on her hands
In wake of CU defeat in CO, gay activists claim lawmaker has "blood of suicidal gays ... on her hands" [NOM Blog]

Fair enough. We too wish people would tone down the rhetoric, especially of the personally-targeted variety. In public. In print. Online, even here in this site's own comments section.

Oh, and also on Facebook Walls like NOM's own official effort:

And remember: When pro-LGBT advocacy turns heated, it's most often because of these kinds of mindsets. So don't act your like your movement is pure here, NOMmers. Saying someone has blood on their hands made be debatable rhetoric. But it's simply undeniable that the anti-LGBT, anti-equality movement (of which NOM is a *HUGE* part) has much cultivated hostility attached to its roots. It just does.
