Dear New York Daily News,

If you need to run an image in order to highlight a post regarding marriage equality and state conservatives' resistance to it, must you really run a graphic...

...that comes from the far-from-objective ChristArt.com? Especially one that is tagged with the words "sodomy," "homo," and, yes, "f*g"?:

It's offensive enough for the state's rich and vibrant gay population to realize it's still perfectly kosher for mainstream media outlets to show certain couple's representative stick figures behind a null symbol, without explanation or qualifier. Please, no need to add insult to the entrenched and enduring injuries that stem from this heterosexist society of ours.

Love,

*UPDATE: The image has been changed to a benign photo of two men on a cake. Kudos to Daily News writer/blogger Celeste Katz who saw this issue and promptly resolved it!
