It never surprises us to see freshman Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (Very Far R-MO) lashing out against our lives and loves, either on the Hill or in Family Research Council videos. After all, Ms. Hartzler built her political prominence by serving as spokesperson for her state's "protect marriage" group, where she regularly referred to marriage equality as a "train wreck" that throws "traditional marriage" on the "trash heap." Mincing words was never of interest.

But still, there's just something about seeing an elected representative comparing our loving bonds to incest or one's decision to drive under the influence of toddlerhood -- it still has the ability to make our jaws drop:
